Read:  Interviewing scientists; Science that explains

Comment:  These readings deal with scientists and technologists.  We will discuss how a focus on the scientist brings out the essence of the science and helps the reader identify with the subject matter.  We will also look at the role of scientific notes and letters in journals.  These occupy a special niche in science by providing commentary and feedback for ongoing research.
